Hi, I’m Harry Singha. And I’m the Chairman of the Youth Coaching Academy. 

You’ve probably seen numerous stories in the world’s media about young people terrorising schools and communities, and how these problems are apparently spiralling out of control. 

Consequently, passionate and caring organisations are becoming increasingly frustrated with one burning question... 

How can we really support the young people we serve?  

Because here’s the real problem...  

Due to such tight budget restrictions, many schools and communities turn to short-term, tokenistic external support programmes that promise so much, but rarely deliver. 

And Here’s What’s Really Frustrating! 

At the same time we hear of successful blue-chip companies and high-flying executives acquiring the services of specialist trainers and life coaches to improve their results and maximise their performance.  

Some are so blown away with the results, they even hire their own internal coaches so this cutting-edge support is available anytime... in their place... by their people! 

But most schools and communities simply can’t afford that calibre of support. 

The good news is schools and communities serving young people are becoming increasingly aware of personal development training and life coaching as powerful and results-focused options, but because of the huge cost of high quality programmes they’re stuck with old-fashioned training that doesn’t produce the results they want. 

But here’s the GREAT news... 

There’s now many exceptional trainers and coaches specialising in the youth coaching sector.  

These talented individuals provide coaching for teachers, youth workers, parents and young people!  

And best of all... they’re doing it for people like YOU 

at affordable prices! 

What most people don’t realise is these youth coaches are actually charging similar rates to school counsellors. 

At the age of 18, I began working with the most disaffected youth across the UK... substance misuse, race hate crime, and pretty much everything else you can think of!  

Back in 1999 I became one of the first Accredited Life Coaches in the UK, and like many others I took the next step to become an Accredited Corporate Coach. 

I was mesmerised by the impact of coaching and knew without a doubt it could transform the lives of many young people.  

When I discovered the power of coaching I had one burning question: 

“If its good enough for Beckham and Branson...  

why not young people?” 

That was actually the title of my dissertation! Though I quickly changed it to… 

“How can I get coaching to young people?” 

Then the answer arrived... 

“I’ll train young people and those who work with/love them 

 to become life coaches!” 

The answer seemed really simple to me at the time... little did I know the challenges I was to face! 

It wasn’t until December 2001 that I really took any action. Like most people who procrastinate... it took a moment of desperation and inspiration to get me to do something. 

Sadly, it took the murder of a 15 year-old boy from my old school to get me to take action. 

I worked with the whole school and local community through that incredibly challenging period... with phenomenal results! 

I was driven by this amazing group of young people to deliver on my promise to create a Life Coaching Programme for young people and those who serve them. 

I dedicated the following four months to create the world’s first ever externally accredited Life & Youth Coaching Course, which was awarded with a Level 3 recognition from the Open College Network accrediting body. 

We then began to train other adults as youth coaches, and also young people between the age of 12 and 17 as ‘Youth Peer Coaches.’ 

Today the Youth Coaching Academy are now well-renowned as the pioneers of the youth coaching sector. 

 In 2005 I decided to create a One Day version of the full five day programme, where we promise every participant ... 

gets to experience the power of the  skills that all life coaches do and apply them in their own life/work immediately

Fact there are tens of thousands of trained coaches in the UK now and the research and evidence of its effectiveness is mounting. The DFES and the National College for School Leadership are all acknowledging and promoting the use of coaching within education establishments.

Simply put, coaching is a powerful relationship for supporting an individual/groupto bring out the best in themselves.

A typical one day programme begins at 9am and finishes at 5pm, though the times will vary depending on the host community we partner with to deliver the programme. The Day will cover the following, and after attending the whole day YOU will ...
